1. Mario Badescu Facial Mist — ($12)

Planes can be very dehydrating and this facial mist helps restore some of the moisture. Spray it periodically throughout the flight for a quick refresh. It comes in multiple scents, but the rosewater is our favorite!

2. Rubber Wedding Bands — ($12+)

Depending on the destination, it sometimes doesn’t make sense to wear your valuables. These indestructible rubber bands are perfect for adventures without having to worry about your rings getting lost or stolen!

3. Dual Voltage Curling Iron — ($25)

This 110/220 dual voltage curling iron can be used universally with an adapter. It has multiple heating options and an extra long barrel making it perfect for long hair. Plus, it’s only $25!

4. Portable Scale — ($10)

For those notorious over-packers, this is a must have to avoid excess baggage fees. It is easy to use and displays the weight in both lbs and kgs. The small size makes it easy to tuck away in your suitcase.

5. Resistance Bands — ($9)

Trying to stay fit while on the road can be a challenge, so we find these exercise bands to be perfect for a quick hotel room workout. They are super lightweight and take up virtually no space.

6. Roll-On Essential Oils — ($20+)

Perfect to help relax and calm the flying jitters as well as aid sleep to combat jet lag. Comes in a variety of essential oil blends – Sleep Well and Tranquility are two of our personal favorites.

7. Travel Cubes — ($20)

It is amazing how much more you can fit in your suitcase with travel cubes. They also help keep items more organized so they are easier to find!

8. Eye Patches — ($15+)

These come in especially handy for those long-haul flights to help make you look less like a zombie and feel somewhat refreshed. There are many different brands that work well, but Patchology are ones we have tried and enjoyed!

9. Travel Steamer — ($28)

This has to be one of the best travel purchases in the past few years. This steamer is small, but powerful and much less of a hassle to use than dealing with a bulky ironing board in a hotel room.

10. Compression Socks — ($20)

Both our feet swell like crazy in-flight, so these socks are a lifesaver!

Bonus Items

Longchamp Tote — ($125+)

We are certain you’ve seen this bag on travel lists before. What makes it so great is how little space it takes folded up. We both always pack a tote in our suitcase for the return journey to use for breakable souvenirs or overflow.

Wooden Map — ($60 +)

We’ve recently added this wooden travel map to our shopping list. What a fun way to visually display the countries to which you’ve traveled! You can even purchase flag pins to mark off the places you’ve visited.

We hope our list of practical and affordable gifts for travelers inspires you this holiday season. Do you have a favorite travel essential? We’d love for you to share!
